West Malibu Locations is locally owned and operated, and is the exclusive representative for the 3500 acres in the north end of Malibu California, belonging to the Mansdorf Family Trust. From the water-line, inland 1 mile, and the top 5 miles of Malibu on into Ventura County, this acerage is the largest parcel of privately owned land in Los Angeles county.
Our location includes private coastlines, beaches, mountain ranges, rolling hills, lush campsites, and multi-million dollar homes including the Dick Clark "Flintstone House". This region has been an active production hub for many years with over 100 production days recorded in this general area alone for 2013, and has the production infrastructure and experience to support big-budget feature films, independent films, TV commercials, photo shoots, and more. Showcasing privately owned land belonging to the Mansdorf Family Trust, exclusively, these 3500 acres of beach, mountain, ocean, forrest, and frontier land, come with a multitude of views and panoramas. We are the location for diversity. Apart from film locations, we also can provide the best base camp locations in Malibu. Among our recent TV spots shot on our locations were for Mercedes Benz, Chrysler, Suburu, Nissan, and Jeep, and with magazine ads for FOSSIL Watches to mention but a few.

We proudly represent the Dick Clark "Flintstone" House for events, film, and vacation rentals.

Our Team
Howard Coleman
Mr. Coleman's industry experience includes a position
as Vice-president of Associated Television, a full
service television and entertainment corporation, for
over 15 years, where Mr. Coleman's responsibilities were
in domestic syndication, advertising sales, production,
finance, and negotiations with international governments
for location considerations and tax rebates. Before Mr.
Coleman's current tenure, he served as Manager of
Syndication for Intercontinental Releasing, that
produces and distributes American made films for the
international market.
James Bishop
Mr. Bishop's career started in the 70's where he was involved with four-walling rock and horror films as the "Midnight Movies" for Don Kirschner, and The Alternative Film Society. He then headed post production and marketing services to independent film producers at Affiliated Films. Mr. Bishop's specific expertise is in brand management, digital content platform distribution technology, business development, monetization, strategic planning , branded entertainment and talent endorsement management.
Our History
After years of planning, West
Malibu Locations was launched in 2014, founded by
Jamie Gonzalez, Trustee for the Mansdorf Family Trust.
Mr. Gonzalez then retained the services of Howard
Coleman and James Bishop, owners of Entertainment
Consultants + Management (EC+M), to oversee the daily
operation.
The Mansdorf Family Trust was formed in 1967 by aviation
industry pioneer, Mr. Lee Mansdorf creator of the
Pregnant Guppy Aircraft in 1962. This aircraft creation
was used for ferrying outsized cargo items for NASA's
components of the Apollo moon program. The Mansdorf
Family Trust amassed thousands of acres of valuable
Southern California land currently entitled for
development. Led by Trustee Mr. Jaime DeJesus Gonzalez,
an accomplished entrepreneur, the trust plans to carry
out land developments that will promote synergies
between business partnerships and economic growth in the
West Malibu area. West Malibu
Locations is one of many companies set to launch
associated with the Mansdorf Family Trust.
